The Graduates of 2020 have had a hard deal with the impact of COVID-19 on their exams, results and final graduation celebrations. Usually, on their graduation day, they have the opportunity to take photos with props and family on campus but they were not able to do that this year.
So I designed a range of DIY props to make at home so the students could have their own ceremonies in their garden with their families and still get dressed up and use the props to make the day as special as possible in the current circumstances.
Alongside marketing, we were able to successfully give the students a virtual graduation with the hashtag #LboroGrad2020, baking competitions and a chance to see their instagram posts shared live on the University Vice Chancellors' live stream.
